Swimming in A Blue Ocean
“A wave is a disturbance in a medium that carries energy.” In physics, a material wave is the significant movement of a disturbance in a medium from its equilibrium position, whereas the particles that make up the medium move very little.” Our goal is to help you make small shifts that create tremendous energy.
It is hard to believe that it has been almost 30 years since Turner Group, Inc. was founded. Three decades have passed, and so much has changed our lives, industries, and world. Babies have been born, graduated from college, and even had babies of their own. We have experienced the horror and the lessons of 9/11, and we won’t quickly forget 2020, our first pandemic from which we all have emerged stronger. So much has happened in our lives, our families, and our worlds continue to change and grow as we all continue to change.
While recently working on our new website, we discussed who we are, our history, and our future when the conversation turned to our logo. As we shared stories both internally and externally, the idea began to take shape for a new logo, and now we are thrilled to be presenting it to you. The “wave” is significant to Turner Group in that it embodies our history, present, and future.
In 1996, Chuck Roehm, Norm Boshoff and I sat on Chuck’s sailboat in the Puget Sound and talked about our dreams for Turner Group and how we wanted to serve the plastics industry. We talked about service, how we tried to treat people and how we wanted to be remembered. We spoke about technology, partners, and how a great product is an essential and excellent service. We made a pact on how we would treat people and that integrity was more than a principle. It was a verb and only appeared in our actions. The water has always been a reminder of this beginning.
As we have evolved and grown over the years, we have embraced a Blue Ocean Strategy within Turner Group. A Blue Ocean challenges companies to push the boundaries of their industries and offer customers something unique and of immense value. It is used by many as a marketing strategy. Still, to Turner Group, it means seeking those technologies and solutions that will help you work smarter and more efficiently for your businesses, your jobs, and your future.
We seek trustworthy companies and technology leaders in the industry as our partners, identify new and emerging technologies and vet those companies that we can confidently endorse to help you with your manufacturing, automation, and training needs.
Waves can be vast or calm, but there is always movement. As with a wave, our goal is to help you make powerful and significant movements and succeed in their peace when they are quiet, but they are always in motion. Our goal is to Move You Forward with small shifts or significant changes.
We continue to seek out solutions and ways to provide you with what you need when you need it. It includes the information you need to work smarter. We provide videos, brochures, and technical data.
