Meet Jason Cornell, Western Regional Sales Manager, Sepro

Jason Cornell

Having worked with robots and automation systems in the plastics industry for over 26 years, Jason Cornell has developed a vast wealth of knowledge and experience.

Jason began his career as a Service Engineer with a major automation supplier, he then progressed into sales, utilizing his technical expertise and product knowledge to provide automation solutions to the industry. For several years he operated his own business as an independent service provider and automation consultant.

Jason is married to the love of his life, Ann. Together they have 2 boys, Gavin age 13 and Adam age 7.

They have been life-long California residents, but they have recently moved to Arizona.

Would you share a happy/fun memory from your childhood?
We grew up camping and dirt bike riding in the California deserts and mountains.  Those memories, with our family and friends, will always hold a special place in my heart.

What gives your work life meaning?
As cheesy as it sounds, I really enjoy helping people.  I find a lot of self-fulfillment in the ability to help guide people, with the knowledge that I have acquired over these many years, and watching initial ideas and concepts turn into reality.

What gives your personal life meaning?
Ultimately everything that I do is for the love of my family.

Favorite city/place in the world and why?
New River, AZ, because that is where we/my family lives!

Name one thing you are good at and would be your best piece of advice to someone in this regard?
Listening.  As much as we want to lend our insight, I always feel it is best to truly listen and understand what someone is saying before trying to provide feedback or a response.

What are your favorites hobbies?
Although I consider it more than a hobby, more of a passion, I have played the bass guitar since I was 16 years old.  I still feel the same excitement playing today as when I first picked up the instrument!

Where is your dream vacation destination?
I would really like to visit Australia someday.

Where was your favorite vacation?
I have always loved Hawaii and, in particular, Kauai.  I remember one trip, where for as far as you could see, there was not another sole on the beach.  It really made me feel so connected to nature.

What is your favorite Turner Group/Sepro moment?
During the past Plastec West/MD&M show, we were able to catch an Angels baseball game and just have fun together outside of work!

What does company culture mean to you?
“Care” is the most important part of company culture.  That includes caring for customers, vendors, employees and colleagues.

What would it be if you could only eat one type of food for the rest of your life?
I love pizza, so probably that, although it can’t have any olives on it!!!  Yuck!

What is one of your work rules?
Stay true to your word.  I always try to follow through on anything I say.  I think this lends directly to customers and colleagues, knowing they can count on you.

“We look forward to connecting with you”
