Arburg Acquisition of AMK
The acquisition will further strengthen Arburg’s expertise and electric drives portfolio.
The AMK Group is one of the leading international companies for electric drive technology, control technology, industrial automation engineering, and the automotive sectors. AMK has worked closely with Arburg as a development partner in electric drive systems for more than two decades.
Their combined effort has contributed significantly to the success story of the Arburg electric Allrounder injection molding machines.
Besides the technology and long-standing partnership, the company’s sound basic philosophy was also a factor for the Arburg partners in the purchase. AMK and Arburg have similar values and exemplify long-term entrepreneurial commitment with a view to stability and a sustainable strategy focused on expertise.
The new company willl be known as AMKmotion GmbH + Co KG.

Arburg’s requirements for energy optimisation, environmental protection and resource conservation have been strongly supported by AMK and implemented in its drives. AMK was awarded the Arburg Energy Efficiency Award for its successful developments in this respect.

Since its foundation, ARBURG has been producing innovative injection molding equipment exclusively at its Lossburg factory in the Black Forest. Development, production and administration are housed centrally there within a floor space of some two million square feet.
The state-of-the-art facility has been created over the course of the years as a result of a carefully planned and executed strategy. Expansion at ARBURG is based on solid long-term strategic considerations.
